Week 1 of camp will be at two different locations this year! We will offer an included lunch each day!

Our Young Scientists camp at Newport High School is the perfect introduction to the exciting world of STEAM for preschoolers! Designed especially for curious 4- and 5-year-olds, this camp is filled with hands-on experiments, creative crafts, interactive stories, movement activities, and playful exploration that inspire a lifelong love of learning. Campers will discover, build, create, and investigate in a safe, nurturing environment led by experienced early childhood educators. Our Volunteer in Training (VIT) Program is an unforgettable leadership experience for students entering 9th and 10th grade who want to build confidence, make lasting friendships, and develop skills that will benefit them for years to come. Each morning, participants take part in engaging leadership training focused on communication, teamwork, empathy, child development, behavior management, and problem-solving. In the afternoons, they put these new skills into practice by working alongside experienced teachers and mentors, helping younger campers learn, grow, and have fun. More than just volunteering, the VIT Program helps students become compassionate leaders while earning valuable experience that strengthens college, scholarship, and job applications. It’s the perfect opportunity for teens who want to make a difference, gain real-world leadership experience, and enjoy an exciting, meaningful summer at Wise Camps.

Week 2 of summer camp is offered at the same locations as week 1! The camp content will be unique and available for all campers from week 1. However it is not sequential so campers may join during week 2!

Volunteer in Training 2 (VIT 2) is designed for returning VITs who are ready to take their leadership to the next level. Building on the foundation developed in VIT 1, participants take on greater responsibility as role models, mentors, and leaders within the camp community. Advanced leadership workshops explore topics such as conflict resolution, coaching younger volunteers, leading activities, effective communication, and creating positive camp cultures. Throughout the week, VIT 2 participants work closely with experienced staff while taking on more independent leadership roles, helping to guide campers and support fellow volunteers. This advanced program challenges teens to grow in confidence, maturity, and professionalism while gaining meaningful experience that strengthens college, scholarship, and job applications. It’s the next step for students who want to become exceptional leaders and make an even greater impact at Wise Camps.

We have expanded and added a week 3 of Wise Camps this summer! All camps are unique across all weeks so campers can hang out and learn to love Sceince and Math all three weeks!

Volunteer in Training 2 (VIT 2) is our advanced leadership program for returning VITs who are ready to take on greater responsibility and make an even bigger impact. Participants strengthen their leadership through advanced training in mentoring, communication, conflict resolution, and team leadership while taking a more active role in supporting campers, assisting teachers, and coaching newer volunteers. VIT 2 challenges students to grow into confident, compassionate leaders while gaining meaningful experience that prepares them for future volunteer opportunities, employment, college, and leadership roles within their communities.
