Volunteer in Training Certification

The Wise Camps Volunteer in Training Camp is for rising 9th graders. It is a mix of volunteer training in the mornings, and volunteer experience in the afternoons. Each morning, students will engage in training sessions, honing essential skills such as communication, leadership, and teamwork, guided by experienced mentors. In the afternoons, they put their newfound knowledge into action, and earn volunteer hours. As the week progresses, participants work towards completing the Wise Camps Volunteer Certification, a credential that not only recognizes their dedication but also grants them a preferential spot for future volunteering opportunities with Wise Camps. We can’t wait for you to join our Wise Camps Volunteer Family!!!! Limited spots available. Students who participate either week 1 (July 15-19th) or week 2 (July 22-26th) will earn 20 volunteer hours. Students who complete the week 1 training earn 20 hours that week, plus an additional 40 hours week 2 for a total of 60 hours.

Testimonials

We were extremely satisfied with science camp! It was so exciting for my son to share with us each and every night what he had learned during the day. This camp not only was the best value compared to other camps we did this summer it was his favorite, the most enjoyable and he has become excited about science! He is already looking forward to next year!

My son really enjoyed the camp-every day after camp we talked about what he did and he seemed very enthusiastic about the demonstrations and the items that were taught. I’m glad you presented the information in a way that was fun and exciting!

Thank you so much for a great week at camp! My daughter enjoyed it very much and was actually excited for school to start! Having a grandpa as a scientist, it’s not like she hasn’t had an opportunity to foster a love of science and exploring, but it wasn’t until camp that she showed any interest. Thank you!
